New Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has nothing but words of praise for Marcos Alonso who made the team list in the blues win over Burnley.

Thomas Tuchel finally got his first win as a Chelsea manager when the team beat Burnley 2 nil at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso who was making his first appearance since September gave Thomas Tuchel the much needed victory and the German tactician is pleased with his players especially Marcos.

Speaking with press after the match, Tuchel stated that the performance itself for him was very complete, both defensively and offensively.

According to the former Borussia Dortmund manager the blues did the work, with the three centre-backs and two sixes absolutely outstanding.

He noted that the two guys on the sides did a lot of effort to support and the front three supported the defensive work too and most importantly the team never lost patience, they controlled the game, created a lot of chances and were very good in the counter-pressing.

Thomas Tuchel added that overall, he’s very happy that they got this well-deserved win.
