Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has opened up on how he’s willing to help Timo Werner in solving his current goal drought in the Premier League.

Timo Werner was brought in to solve Chelsea’s problem in front of goal but after a good start to his blues career, the Germany international has been struggling to find the back of the net.

His goal drought continues when Chelsea played Burnley on Sunday as the blues had to rely on goals from Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.

The win saw Chelsea rise to seventh on the table but fans were skeptical of Timo Werner’s woes in front of goal.

Speaking after the match, Thomas Tuchel praised Timo Werner’s performance as he noted that he’s totally into it, he gives everything, but every striker is sensitive and nothing helps them more than goals.

Tuchel stated that if strikers miss goals for a certain amount of time it’s the same for all of them, so this is nothing special for Timo, it happens to every striker in the world.

On the way forward, Tuchel insisted that as long as he has the impact and tries everything, like he did today, they will support him.

Not leaving any stone unturned, Tuchel added that the team also missed some chances to use Werner in counter-attacks, which is his strength to use him with his speed.

The former Paris Saint-Germain manager noted that the team have to use Werner in the right way also as he was confident to play, but confidence is not something you can demand.
