Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants United to keep forward for another season

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to keep Edinson Cavani for another season as he hopes to continue working with him.

Edinson Cavani arrived at Manchester United on a free transfer from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain last summer after he failed to nail a place in the team.

The Uruguay international has been able to champions doubters wrong by putting in some impressive performance with Manchester United scoring six times and providing two assists in 18 games in the Premier League.

Despite this, there have been reports that Manchester United might allow him to leave when his contract expires but Solskjaer in not willing to do that.

Speaking about his future before United’s defeat to Leicester City in the FA Cup, Solskjaer stated that they are speaking to Cavani.

According to Solskjaer, Cavani is a top striker and whatever he decides to do, everyone will see but the club are in good dialogue with him.

Solskjaer noted that United want a competitive squad and they need someone up there to score the goals for us so they are
looking at it.

Cavani has had spells in Danubio, Palermo, Napoli, PSG before his adventure with Manchester United and has won many trophies not excluding individual awards.
