Arsenal are continuing to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season and have now turned their attention to Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has emerged as a serious target, with recent reports suggesting that Mikel Arteta has learned of Eze’s openness to a move to the Emirates.

Arsenal’s summer business began with the £5 million signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea, after his release clause was activated. The Spanish goalkeeper spent last season on loan at Bournemouth and is expected to provide strong competition for current No.1 David Raya.

Further reinforcements are set to follow, with deals already agreed for Brentford midfielder Christian Nørgaard and Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi. While Zubimendi’s move has been delayed for accounting reasons requested by the Spanish club, it is expected to be announced shortly.

With those midfield additions nearly complete, Arsenal’s recruitment team—led by Andrea Berta—is now focusing on finalising a deal for Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera. However, interest in Eze remains strong, particularly following a recent meeting involving Berta and the player’s representatives.

Eze, who had a standout season with Palace, is believed to have a £68 million release clause, and Arsenal are weighing whether to meet that figure. The player’s openness to the move has encouraged Arsenal to explore the deal further as they look to add creativity and versatility to Arteta’s attacking options.
