Despite reports suggesting that Joao Pedro’s imminent arrival from Brighton might conclude Chelsea’s attacking signings for the summer, new updates indicate that the club plans to remain active in the transfer market.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed on his YouTube channel that Chelsea are still looking to strengthen their forward line, hinting at further additions. “Chelsea are building something special for their attacking package,” Romano said. “I think Chelsea will do more. I wouldn’t be surprised if they add another offensive player, and I also expect them to sign a centre-back before the window closes.”

Chelsea have already made significant moves in the attacking department, with names like Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke, Jamie Gittens, Estevão Willian, Tyrique George, Joao Pedro, and Nicolas Jackson all in or around the first-team picture. Given the depth in these wide and attacking roles, a departure—most likely Madueke—could be necessary before another forward arrives.

Madueke has been linked with a move away, with several Premier League clubs reportedly showing interest. Should he depart, it would open space for Chelsea to further reinforce their attack with fresh talent.

In addition to bolstering their frontline, Chelsea are expected to bring in a new centre-back, ensuring the squad is balanced across all areas. With manager Enzo Maresca aiming to shape a competitive and dynamic squad, Chelsea’s transfer activity looks far from over as they continue building for the 2025/26 campaign.
