Zaha reacts to move to Chelsea

Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha has reacted to the reports linking him with moves to EPL side Chelsea this summer.

Zaha, in a recent statement, revealed he would be staying put at Crystal Palace.

This comes days after the reports revealed the Ivory Coast international was on Chelsea’s target list for the summer.

Zaha, while speaking on BT Sport after scoring in Crystal Palace’s 1-1 draw with Brentford on Tuesday, said: “It’s not been difficult at all [to block out the outside noise about transfers]. I’ve just been focused on Palace and every game.

“It’s not been difficult at all. I go into training, I get on with it and I enjoy it. I’ve been focused.

“We’ve got a massive understanding [Zaha and the club]. Everyone understands me. It’s different. It’s hard to explain but it feels like a family here.”

This is another transfer blow for Chelsea, having lost out in the race to sign some key players this summer.
