UCL: Borussia Dortmund Vs Real Madrid – Ferdinand gives prediction

Ahead of the UEFA Champions League final between German side Borussia Dortmund and Spanish giants Real Madrid, former Man Utd star Rio Ferdinand has dropped his prediction.

The Los Blancos are considered favourites to lift the trophy, which will make it 15th title.

On the other hand, it would only be the second in the Bundesliga club’s history.

While Ferdinand would want Dortmund to win because of Jadon Sancho, the former Red Devils star admitted that defeating Real Madrid would be “a step too far”.

Ferdinand in a statement via TNT Sports, also predicted a 2-0 victory for Carlo Ancelotti’s side

The Champions League final will be played at Wembley Stadium, England this year. It was the same venue where Borussia Dortmund lost against their German rivals Bayern Munich in 2013.

It would be an unexpected outcome if Dortmund end up beating Real Madrid. Recall that Atalanta defeated Bayern Leverkusen in the Europa League while Man Utd surprisingly beat Man City in the FA Cup final.

A similar scenario could play out tonight when Dortmund face Real Madrid.
