Former Arsenal star names player that will help them win UCL

Former Arsenal forward, Theo Walcott, has named one player to help the Gunners win the Champions League this season.

Recall that Arsenal stunned the football world when they unexpectedly kicked out Spanish giants, Real Madrid in the Champions League last season.

The Gunners, however, suffered defeat in the semi-finals to the winners Paris Saint-Germain.

Walcott, however, believed the Gunners could win the UCL title this season after they signed Viktor Gyokeres in the summer transfer window.

The former attacker opined that Gyokeres will be pivotal for the Gunners quest to win the title this season.

According to Walcott, Arsenal would not have lost to PSG in the semi-finals if they had a striker like Gyokeres.

In his words via BBC, Walcott said, “if they [Arsenal] had someone like Viktor Gyokeres in the PSG semi-final they lost last season, then they would have won it.”

Walcott stated that Gyokeres is going to make a difference for the Gunners as he is so equipped for the Champions League knockout ties.

“Add that to the personnel that Arsenal already have, and how strong they are defensively, and that’s why I am backing them to win it,” he added.
