Transfer window: Arsenal compete with Manchester City for Crystal Palace captain

Arsenal have showed interest in number of players this January transfer widow with reports linking them with moves for Marc Guehi.

Recent report disclosed that the Gunners are in talks with Guehi’s camp for a transfer for the Crystal Palace.

The rumours about Arsenal’s interest in Guehi first emerged on Thursday after they had been dealt with a number of defensive injuries in their race to win the EPL title this season.

Aside from Arsenal, Manchester City are also said to be interested in submitting a bid for the England centre-back this January after the lost both Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias to injury.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the Gunners have a long-term interest in Guehi and are in touch with his camp as they discuss a potential deal likely to come in the summer.

He added that Liverpool also want to go for Guehi again when his Crystal Palace contract expires in the summer, having seen a £35m deal collapse on summer deadline day, though Man City want the move now.
