A latest report has revealed that Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku could be out of the club for one month due to the ankle injury that he sustained on Wednesday night during the Blues match vs Malmo.

The Belgian striker played for just 22 minutes in the Champions League fixture vs Malmo after coming under a heavy challenge in the penalty area.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel after the game, stated that the Belgium international and as well as Timo Werner, who also sustained an injury during the match, could spend a period on the sidelines.

A report via The Sun has claimed that Lukaku may be forced to miss up to four weeks with a twisted ankle, half of that time coming during the international break.

If the report is anything to go by, it means the summer signing will miss five matches in quick succession and would make a return to the squad in the middle of November.

Chelsea will face Leicester City, Juventus and Manchester United in the seven days after the next international break, and they may have to do so without Lukaku
