The recent report has claimed that Chelsea are likely to let Timo Werner leave in the coming January transfer window.

This comes as Chelsea have reportedly spotted a replacement for the German striker in Karim Adeyemi, who has emerged as one of the youngsters in high demand currently.

Chelsea have emerged as the front-runners to seal the services of RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato (via Fichajes).

Aside from the Blues, there are other European clubs who have shown open interest in Adeyemi, who is considered the next Erling Haaland.

While Chelsea are hoping to sign him in January, RB Salzburg have, however, cleared the air as it revealed Adeyemi would not be allowed to leave until the end of the summer.

This means Chelsea will have to manage Werner till the end of the season or go beyond the £43 million transfer fee set by RB Salzburg to convince them to let the 19-year-old leave in January.

Also, Chelsea could go ahead to sign their former talisman and Belgian striker Eden Hazard in January and wait until Adeyemi is available for transfer.
