There is a sense of relief at Stamford Bridge as the latest report has revealed that the Spanish side Real Madrid have ended the race to sign Chelsea midfielder and France international N’Golo Kante.

This is a big boost for Chelsea as it means Kante will remain at the club, and they can continue to enjoy his service with interested party Real Madrid having seemingly moved onto alternatives.

As per Fichajes, Los Blancos are now eyeing Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi ahead of a potential winter move.

Kante, since joining Chelsea from Southampton, has gone on to become a key player for every coach that has managed the club, including under their present manager Thomas Tuchel.

However, this season the French diminutive midfielder’s performance has been marred by injury and is expected to bounce back during the coming winter.

Kante is one of the most talented midfielders in the world, and he has proven this times without number, which is the reason he is part of the 30-man list that could win the Ballon d’Or award this year as he competes alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Lewandowski and teammate Jorginho.
