Not a manager: Former Liverpool boss Klopp takes up new role
Former Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp recently announced his new role at RedBull.
Klopp, who left the Reds last season will be returning to football but not as a manager.
The German is set to take over as RedBull’s Head of Global Soccer from January 1, 2025.
Klopp shared the exciting announcement via his Instagram page as he posted a video, to explain his decision.
According to Klopp, RedBull gives him the perfect platform to return to work, as he added that he wants to share his experience.
Klopp recall how his career went, fight for a promotion, against relegation, for titles and trophies.
“Sometimes we failed, sometimes we succeeded and dealing with, that is not easy but it’s possible,” he said.
Klopp stated that he wants to learn again because suggesting that his former job didn’t give him enough time to do so.
With RedBull, the former Liverpool manager believes he now has time and the opportunity to learn.
“And I want to see and feel and figure out what is useful for football. So developing football a little bit as well,” he added.
Meanwhile, manager Arne Slot who replaced Klopp at Liverpool has been impressive at Anfield, with the Reds currently seated at the top of the table.
