Chelsea seems to have improved greatly under the new manager Graham Potter, who came in as a replacement for Thomas Tuchel, who was unexpectedly sacked in September.

While many football pundits had expressed worry about Potter’s ability to coach Chelsea having joined the Blues from Brighton, the manager has gone on to impress, with Chelsea yet to concede defeat in their last four matches.

Speaking on why his side were yet to concede a defeat, Potter stressed that it was as a result of the collective desire of the whole team.

He said in a pre-match statement after their latest win vs Aston Villa on Sunday, ‘I think it’s a collective desire to do the ugly stuff in the game, a collective desire to help each other, to be together. If we need to suffer we will suffer.

‘We have humility, we know that sometimes an opponent can get the better of us, that’s normal in football, but at least we see players running and putting their bodies on the line to make blocks.

‘That’s an important part of the game, because we’ve got quality, the quality’s there in the group.’
