UCL: Zakaria should have been man of the match – Mount

Chelsea star Mason Mount who started during their UCL match vs Dinamo Zagreb said Denis Zakaria and not him should have emerged as the man of the match.

Mount stressed that Zakaria who came in from the bench to score a goal for Chelsea was impressive.

He, however, stressed that he was happy for Zakaria as he finally get a chance to shine at Chelsea.

‘The lads have been battering me the last couple of games I’ve got man of the match as they don’t think I deserved it, but today I don’t think I deserve it!’ Mount said.

‘Denis Zakaria came in and was unbelievable. He deserves man of the match more than me, and he scored as well!

‘To step up after not playing, and starting the game, was brilliant. I’m very happy for him to get this opportunity and to do so well.’

It is unknown if Zakaria would get a nod to start against Arsenal this weekend.
