Chelsea star speaks on Chilwell’s injury

Chelsea star Mason Mount has shared his thought on his colleague Ben Chilwell’s injury.

While Chelsea impressed against Zagreb on Wednesday night in the Uefa Champions League, it, however, ended on a sour note when Chilwell picked up a hamstring injury in stoppage time.

With the 2022 World Cup in Qatar three weeks away now, it is uncertain if Chilwell will be available for England as he joined a number of players that could miss the tournament.

Mount in a reaction expressed sympathy and concern for his England team-mate.

He said: ‘We don’t know how bad it is but that was tough to watch. We saw his reaction and that never looks good. As soon as you feel something and to not even think about the ball, it’s tough.

‘We know what’s coming up, hopefully it’s not too bad and he can be back as soon as possible because we need him as well.’
