Chelsea may have been handed a boost ahead of their next game vs Real Madrid on Wednesday in the UCL.

This comes as Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti could miss their trip to Stamford Bridge for Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final first-leg match against Chelsea, according to Spanish outlet AS.

The report revealed that the Italian manager tested for Covid-19 last Wednesday and was unavailable for the Los Blancos 2-1 win over Celta Vigo on Saturday.

However, he expected to take a test on Monday which would determine if he would be part of the team that would travel to England.

Ancelotti’s absence would be a big blow for Real Madrid when they face Chelsea.

According to another report from Marca, Ancelotti still picked the starting line-up on Saturday, but his son Davide and assistant coaches made the decisions during the match.

Also, a report via Real Madrid’s official website confirmed that all members of their squad took part in Sunday’s training except for Luka Jovic, who is still recovering from an injury.

This means Jovic could also be unavailable for the match.
