Chelsea coach and Germany International Thomas Tuchel has revealed one Real Madrid player he would love to have in his squad at Stamford Bridge.

According to Tuchel, the player is Karim Benzema.

The Blues coach said this in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, ahead of Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final first-leg tie against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge.

Asked the Real Madrid player he would like to have in his team, Tuchel said: “Karim Benzema.

“Two years ago, I think he was one of the most underrated players in world football, and maybe not anymore.

“He absolutely deserves everything that has happened to him, he has been the number nine for Real Madrid for many years, and that speaks for itself. And how he carries responsibility in the last stage for them.”

“What a key part he plays for them as a captain now. It is very impressive. You can see what can happen to a team in his absence from the Clasico,” he said.
