With just a few days left to the end of the January transfer window, it looks like Chelsea are done with signing any new player.

Recall that the Blues have been linked with moves for the likes of Declan Rice, Erling Haaland, David Alaba among others this winter, it looks like none of them will be joining the Blues.

The Blues new manager in a pre-match statement on Thursday ruled out signing of a new player in the ongoing transfer window.

This may be as a result of the club heavy spending worth more than £220m in the summer transfer window which has so far not paid off the way they anticipated.

The duo of Kai Havertz (£71m) and Timo Werner (47.5m), in particular, who they signed have failed to fire.

In his press conference ahead of their home game vs Burnley on Sunday in the Premier League, the new Chelsea manager was asked if he would make any signings, he said, “No, [no gaps to fill] but it is hard for me to judge right now.”

The Blues coach noted that he is happy with the available squad which means, he would make do with what he has for the rest of the season.
