Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has responded to claims that his side’s victory in the Premier League was because of their financial backing.

Guardiola in a reaction also took a swipe at other Premier League giants like Chelsea and Man Utd for not competing despite spending money during transfer windows.

Following their victory against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night, Man City led by Guardiola are in pursuit of a historic fourth successive English league title.

The also have a chance to make it a double this season if they defeat their rivals Man Utd in the FA Cup final later this month.

Guardiola while speaking before his side’s Tuesday’s trip to Tottenham, highlighted that other big spenders such as Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal should have beaten them to silverware this season.

The Citizens’ boss said their wins was not boring, adding that it’s difficult.

Guardiola stated that if it was about money, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal should have won all the titles, Chelsea.

According to the manager, the three clubs spent as much money in the last five years than Man City.

Despite being big spenders, they found it hard to overtake Man City in the Premier League.
