Former Premier League manager issues warning to Tuchel, insists he might be sacked in the summer
New Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has been warned former Tottenham midfielder and manager Tim Sherwood who believes he could be sacked in the summer.
Thomas Tuchel was appointed by Chelsea weeks ago after club legend Frank Lampard was sacked following a run of poor results in the Premier League.
The German who signed an 18-month contract at Stamford Bridge has begun his era in grand style as Chelsea have secured 7 points from a possible nine with conceding a goal.
However, Tim Sherwood insists that he will be sacked if Chelsea failed to qualify for the Champions League as that has become one of the club’s top priorities.
Speaking with Premier League Productions after Chelsea’s win over Tottenham Hotspur, Sherwood stated that he believes Tuchel has come with a reputation but no matter what his reputation says, he has to win.
He noted that though he signed a very short-term contract, if he wants to stay at the club, he’s going to have to take them into the top four, minimum, this season.
Chelsea will continue their league redemption when they face Sheffield United on Sunday.
The Blues win over Tottenham Hotspur last night is a big boost for Tuchel at Stamford Bridge.
