England International Ben Chilwell might be reconsidering his future at Chelsea as he fails to appear for the second consecutive match under Thomas Tuchel.

Ben Chilwell was identified as a solution to the Blues backline that shipped in goals for fun last season and it was not surprising when he was signed for £50million last summer by Frank Lampard.

He was always in the first team under Frank Lampard before he was dismissed after failing to impress top hierarchy of the club with his performance.

Ben Chilwell’ now faces a fight to regain his place in the Blues’ side as Marcos Alonso put in another impressive performance in the Blues win over Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night.

Thomas Tuchel has changed the team formation ever since he came on board as he now makes use of wing backs, a position Alonso enjoyed under Antonio Conte.

Last time out at Tottenham, Alonso and Reece James operated as wing-back and they were impressive.

Thomas Tuchel does not look like a manager that will be switching his formation as the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi are already getting used to it.

Ben Chilwell might even be forced to settle for a place as third choice in the position as Emerson has been reported to be Tuchel’s second choice.

A move out of Chelsea is certainly not an option now as Ben Chilwell will be eager to fight his way into Tuchel’s team just like other players struggling to get game time.
