Chelsea submit €120m for Real Madrid midfielder

Chelsea are hoping to equip their squad this January with a recent report linking them with moves for a new midfielder.
Recall that in the last summer window, the Blues were said to be eyeing moves for Rodrygo, including Gonzalo Garcia, after his heroics at the Club World Cup.
However, this time around, Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for Vinicius Jr. Trent Alexander-Arnold is rumoured to be on new manager Liam Rosenior’s radar.
There are also speculation about the Blues re-signing Antonio Rudiger.
Chelsea have also been linked with Federico Valverde, one of the most expensive signings in Spain.
A report by Fichajes claimed that the West London club have expressed their firm intention to sign Valverde.
As proof of their readiness, the Blues were reported to have submit a bid of €120 million.
The report further added that Rosenior considers Valverde the ideal player to lead his midfield and the club’s offer of €120 million reflects that conviction.
It is, however, yet to be seen if Chelsea will carry on with such offer as they kick start a new term under their new manager after Enzo Maresca’s sack.
