Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has shared an update about the injury of experience defender Thiago Silva who was forced to leave the pitch against Tottenham Hotspur.

Thomas Tuchel’s team continue their good start under the German by defeating Jose Mourinho Tottenham Hotspur in their home ground.

A well taken penalty by Jorginho was enough for Chelsea to walk away with all three point but they had course for concern when Thiago Silva was forced out due to injury.

The former Paris Saint-Germain defender was substituted in the 36th minute with a thigh injury and looked in some discomfort as he was helped off the field.

He was replaced by Andreas Christensen who put in a good performance as Chelsea secure their third clean sheets in three games under Tuchel.

Speaking to journalist after the game, Tuchel stated that it will be very tight for Thiago to make an appearance on Sunday.

He noted that the match is only in two days but it is hard to give a diagnosis because he saw him only very quickly in the dressing room with a big strap around his muscle.

Tuchel added that he will have to wait until Friday so he can confirm it but Sunday he is a big doubt and it’s not feasible that he can play.
