Former Chelsea manager tips a EPL club to win Europa League this season

Former Chelsea and now Fenerbahce manager, Jose Mourinho, has shared his speculations on this season Europa League could end.

Mourinho believes a Premier League club will lift the Europa League trophy this season.

According to the Portugal international, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, who are the English clubs playing the tournament are the two favourites in the competition.

Mourinho made this known ahead of the group stage clash with Man United on Thursday.

The Portuguese, who has managed Man United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in England, hailed the quality of football in the Premier League.

According to Mourinho, the Premier League is a different level compared to other leagues in Europe.

“When you ask me who are the favourites to win the Europa League, it’s easy, It is Man Utd or Tottenham,” he said.

Meanwhile, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will hope to defeat Mourinho’s side when they meet tonight.

The Red Devils head to the match after their win against Brentford in the Premier League last weekend.

A win against Mourinho would be a boost for Ten Hag to keep his job at Old Trafford amid the reports that the Red Devils on the search for a new manager.
