Everton are the latest club to bid goodbye to their manager in person of Sean Dyche.

The Toffees made Dyche’s sack public on Thursday and are currently on the look for a new manager.

While former Chelsea and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho had been linked to the club, Everton’s new owners, The Friedkin Group, TFG, have been reported to not be interested in hiring the Portuguese as their next manager.

The reports disclosed that Dyche was sacked just a few hours before Thursday’s FA Cup third-round match against Peterborough at Goodison Park.

With Mourinho not on the target list, The Mirror has reported that David Moyes is the leading contender to replace Dyche.

Everton are said to be considering bringing back Moyes, which would be an emotional reunion.

The club owners believe Moyes could be a good fit, potentially on an initial short-term basis.

As of now, the Toffees are one point above the relegation zone following defeats to Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth.
