Everton Pursuing £30 Million Deal for Chelsea’s Armando Broja
According to talkSPORT’s Ben Jacobs, discussions are underway for the Toffees to acquire the forward, aiming to strengthen their attacking lineup.
Chelsea, however, is holding out for a higher fee, closer to £35 million.
Manager Sean Dyche’s team is eager for a swift resolution as they kick off their summer transfer plans. This pursuit coincides with Everton fans AJ Bell and George Downing’s significant bid to take control of the club.
Competition for Broja’s signature is stiff, with AC Milan, Monaco, Wolves, Crystal Palace, and Bologna also expressing interest.
Having progressed through Chelsea’s youth academy, Broja gained experience on loan at Vitesse Arnhem and Southampton, where he netted nine goals. However, his time at Stamford Bridge has seen limited opportunities, with just three goals in 38 appearances, partly due to injuries.
A brief loan stint at Fulham in January didn’t yield much playing time either. Despite this, the 22-year-old remains eager to kickstart his career, with Everton providing a potential avenue for regular first-team football.
While Everton aims for a swift agreement, Broja remains focused on Albania’s Euro 2024 campaign, where he’ll compete in a challenging group alongside Italy, Croatia, and Spain.
