The English Premier League has reacted to the recent decision taking by world football body FIFA which bans 11 Brazilian players from playing in the domestic league.

This comes after Brazil in what looked like revenge after top flight clubs prevented their players from travelling to red list countries for the recent World Cup qualifying fixtures.

The South American country wrote to FIFA which made the body invoked a ‘five-day’ restriction on those involved.

EPL top clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea were among those that were hit by FIFA’s ban as Liverpool players Alisson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino, Leeds United player, Raphinha, Man City Ederson and Gabriel Jesus, Chelsea’s Thiago Silva and Manchester United’s Fred were all affected since they are all Brazillians.

A report via the Sport snail, however, revealed the Premier League is hopeful that FIFA would let the banned players play this week.

The report revealed that the EPL are in talks with both the governing body, the government and the Football Association.

A final decision is expected to be reached by Thursday morning.
