Chelsea goalkeeper, Eduoard Mendy was not at his best during the Blues’ games vs West Ham United on Saturday.

Following the outcome of the match, West Ham manager David Moyes accused Mendy of “faking injury” in the 2-1 win for the Blues.

A controversial VAR decision saw the Hammers lose all three points to Chelsea.

West Ham towards the end of the game thought they had snatched a valuable point through Maxwel Cornet’s goal.

But their celebrations were cut short as VAR ruled out the goal due to a foul on Mendy by Jarrod Bowen.

In a post-match statement Moyes express his displeasure at the decision as he said: “The goalkeeper comes out and fumbles… then acts as if it’s a shoulder injury!

“I thought, ‘there’s no way he’s overturning this’… it was a ridiculously bad decision. I’d question VAR today as much as the referee.

“The sad thing is this is the level of our elite refereeing at the moment. The goalkeeper tried to fake an injury on our first goal as well. So he’s done the same on the second goal.”
