Cahill praises Chelsea star after 3-0 win against West Ham

Former Chelsea defender, Gary Cahill in a recent statement applauded the club’s  striker Nicolas Jackson after the Blues’ Premier 3-0 win over West Ham United on Saturday.

Cahill described the Senegal star’s performance as superb against the Hammers at the London Stadium.

Chelsea won three points against West Ham thanks to a brace from Jackson and a goal from Cole Palmer.

The Senegalese’s performance also saw him clinch the man of the match title during the encounter.

Cahill while speaking via NBC Sports stressed that Jackson is a young player, who is still learning.

The former defender revealed he liked Jackson’s game against West Ham for a number of reasons, which include his finishes and the two goals that he scored.

Cahill added that he liked the way he was willing to run in behind and was dropping deep at times to link up the play.

Since Enzo Maresca was signed as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement during the summer, Jackson has witnessed immerse transformation in his form.

The recent win against the Hammers has since Chelsea in the top four on the league table.

Chelsea will now turn their attention on their next match against Barrow in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.
