Chelsea are reportedly set to make one last attempt to keep Antonio Rudiger at Stamford Bridge.

Rudiger is in his last five months at the West London club and has so far rejected their previous offers to keep him at the club.

While the German defender remains a crucial player in the Blues squad, he is wanted by top European clubs like Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain, both of which are ready to sign him.

However, a recent report via El Nacional revealed that Chelsea owner and Russian billionaire  Roman Abramovich wants to meet with Rudiger and his representatives over the coming weeks.

The report claimed that the Russian billionaire is prepared to match whatever is offered by their European rivals to retain the 28-year-old’s services.

So far this season, Rudiger has made 31 starts in all competitions for the Blues, which is far more than any other outfield player.

Hopefully, he would accept a contract extension this time around and remain at Chelsea, but if he doesn’t, it is a goodbye for the Blues.
