Chelsea target reportedly no longer training with his team
Roberto de Zerbi has confirmed that Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez is now no longer training with the first team amid his impending departure this summer.
Zerbi made this known to journalist Tom Barclay as he said the goalie’s action is a result of the 25-year-old’s request, not long after he was dropped from the starting side at the Amex stadium.
While Sanchez has had good seasons at Brighton in the past, the past few weeks have been different for him as he has, being dropped first-team goalie for Jason Steele.
He has since been linked with moves away from Brighton, with Chelsea said to be his main target.
With Chelsea likely to see one of Kepa Arrizabalaga or Edouard Mendy leave this summer, the Blues might sign Sanchez as a replacement especially as their incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly listed that he wants a new goalkeeper in the team.
