Chelsea get transfer boost as their Inter Milan target wants to play in the EPL

Chelsea have been handed a transfer boost in the race to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez as the 25-year-old desires to play in the Premier League this summer, according to Football Insider.

The report claimed Martinez is keen on a move to England if the right offer comes, with his transfer fee said to be around £70m.

Chelsea who are interested in rebuilding their squad have been linked with moves for several forwards including Neymar, Wilfried Zaha, Sadio Mane, Victor Osimhen, and Harry Kane after struggling for goals this season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who joined them from Barcelona last summer struggled to score only three goals and created one assist in 22 appearances across all competitions.

He is likely to leave at the end of this summer.

Romelu Lukaku is tipped to return to Stamford Bridge from Inter Milan this summer but the Blues are not banking on him as he also struggled last season.

Martinez on the other hand scored 25 goals and created 10 assists in 52 matches for Inter Milan across all competitions this season, which makes him the kind of forward Chelsea need.
