Premier League side Chelsea have reportedly slapped £25.6m asking price on defender Kurt Zouma, who is wanted by their former manager Jose Mourinho at Roma.

Jose Mourinho has officially begun his new job with As Roma, and the Portuguese has been linked with some players as he tends to change the faith of the Italian side.

Kurt Zouma has been linked with Roma ever since then as Mourinho reportedly want a reunion with the star he introduced into the first team during his second stint at Stamford Bridge in 2014.

However, Mourinho will only be able to add Zouma to his team if Roma willing to £25.6m for the defender, according to RMC.

The report claim Chelsea are only willing to discuss a permanent deal as they are not ready to add to loan Zouma out for another season.

Jose Mourinho is reportedly willing to partner Zouma with former Manchester United defender Chris Smalling in the heart of his defence.

Mourinho has already listed players that are not needed in his squad, a list that includes the likes of Pedro, Justin Kluivert and Federico Fazio.
