In the latest update on Benjamin Sesko’s potential transfer, the RB Leipzig striker has made a significant decision ahead of Euro 2024, with Arsenal and Chelsea eagerly awaiting his final answer.

Sesko, who has garnered interest from top clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United, seems poised to depart Germany for the 2024/25 season.

Despite Leipzig’s reluctance to let him go, they have presented new contract terms to the 21-year-old. However, his €65 million (£55m) release clause leaves the possibility of a transfer open, especially with multiple clubs vying for his signature.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Sesko is yet to make a final decision amid various offers, hinting that a resolution may come after Euro 2024. Leipzig hopes his performances for Slovenia during the tournament will boost his market value.

As Sesko prepares to face England’s Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Cole Palmer in Euro 2024, both Arsenal and Chelsea see him as a top target for their striker positions. Manchester United, also interested in Sesko, remains in the mix despite signing Rasmus Hojlund last summer. Sesko’s impending decision holds significant weight for his career, evident in his recent drastic change – shaving his head and dyeing the remaining hair blonde.

Sesko unveiled his new look ahead of Slovenia’s friendly against Albania, although he did not feature in the match. Despite his absence, his nation secured a 2-1 victory, with Josip Ilicic, a former Atalanta star, scoring the winner.

While alternatives such as Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Newcastle’s Alexander Isak exist for both London clubs, Sesko’s affordability, priced at less than half the cost, makes him an attractive option in the current market landscape.
