Paris Saint-Germain manager, Luis Enrique, in a recent statement has reacted to his side’s performance against Arsenal on Tuesday night.

Enrique reflected on PSG’s 2-0 loss at Emirates Stadium in the Champions League.

The Gunners won the match thanks to Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka, who scored the only goals of the game in the first half at the Emirates.

In a post-match statement via Amazon Prime, Enrique said he was sad, pointing out that his players lost duels in the match.

The PSG boss noted that his side could not compete at the level that Arsenal did and they deserved to win the match.

He stressed that Arsenal scored two goals and then they defended in a very tough way and deserved the victory.

Enrique said he knew the intensity of the Gunners and how they play on and off the ball, and that they are at a very high level.

“We knew the standards that they have,” he said.

Enrique and PSG will now focus on their next match in the Ligue 1 against Nice after their first defeat to Arsenal.

The North London club on the other will be playing against Southampton this weekend in the Premier League.
