Newcastle set to sign this former Arsenal coach
The latest report has claimed that Newcastle United are set to bring back former Arsenal coach Unia Emery to the Premier League as their new coach.
This comes as Newcastle United are currently on the search for a new coach to replace Steve Bruce.
Newcastle, since their take over by Saudi Consortium, have been working out ways to belong to the top six clubs in the EPL, and the process begins this season.
Graeme Jones is currently in charge as he was their coach in their last two matches on an interim basis; the latest report has now revealed that the club’s new owners are pushing to make a permanent appointment before they play against Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend.
The Magpies have been linked with a wide array of names like Paulo Fonseca and Leonardo Jardim.
A report via The Athletic, however, claimed that Newcastle are determined to sign Emery, the former Arsenal manager who lifted the Europa League with Villarreal last season.
There are claims that the former Arsenal boss will arrive at St James’ Park if personal terms can be agreed and a £5m compensation fee is paid to the La Liga club.
Emery has earlier on stressed that he ‘does not know anything’ about any potential return to the EPL, two years after he was sacked at Emirates Stadium.
The reports claimed that if the Magpies are unable to sign Emery, then they will make moves for former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe.
