Chelsea were once one of the clubs that were once linked with moves for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.

Isak on Thursday caused a buzz in the football world after he submitted a transfer request to the Magpies, expressed desire to leave this summer.

However, following the major announcement Isak dropped on Thursday, the Blues have decided against making a move for him.

According to the reports, the Blues will join other clubs in the chase for the 25-year-old striker.

This owing to the fact that Chelsea are already negotiating deals to sign Jorrel Hato and Xavi Simons this summer transfer window.

Chelsea’s decision was confirmed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Thursday.

Romano wrote on X: “Chelsea not actively working on Alexander Isak deal and no interest in proceeding despite reports.
