Arsenal suffer blow Vs Liverpool

Arsenal will have reasons to be worried when they take on Liverpool led by Arne Slot next weekend.

This is because the Gunners will be without their defender William Saliba in their next Sunday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool.

Recall that Saliba was sent off during the first half of Saturday’s game against Bournemouth.

The Gunners defender was initially shown a yellow card for pulling back Evanilson.

However, referee Rob Jones was advised by VAR to check the pitchside monitor.

After reviewing the images, Saliba was then shown a red card for a last-man tackle.

This would make it the third red card an Arsenal player has received so far this season, after Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard were sent off against Brighton and Manchester City, respectively.

The removal of Saliba greatly impacted the Gunners while giving an edge to Bournemouth who cruised to victory, picking all three points against Arsenal.

Ahead of their game against the Reds, managed Mikel Arteta will have to work out how he intends to play at the back as another defeat to Liverpool could bring an end to Arsenal chances of lifting the Premier League this season.
