Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has insisted he wouldn’t be given the club’s forward Marcus Rashford game time in his squad.

Amorim while speaking on why Rashord is being ignored, claimed that he would rather put his goalkeeping coach on the bench instead of a player who does not give 100%.

Recall that Rashford was missing in action for Man United’s Premier League clash with Fulham on Sunday, with the forward not included in the squad that made the trip down to London.

The English forward has not played for the Red Devils since December 12 due to poor performances in training.

When Amorim was asked about Rashford’s absence after the Red Devils 1-0 win over Fulham, the Portuguese said that “it is the same situation”.

The manager also suggested that Rashford is still not applying himself properly in training, claiming that his goalkeeper coach would be on the bench over a player who is not pushing in the same direction as his teammates.

“It is the same situation. If things don’t change, I will not change,” he said.
