Liverpool star reveals how fans presence will help the team next season

Liverpool forward, Xherdan Shaqiri has revealed how the presence of fans in stadium will help the reds in achieving their goals for next season.

The reds failed to defend their Premier League title last season with Manchester City winning the title in grand style.

Liverpool during the season lost key players likes Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Jordan Henderson to injuries and they couldn’t cope with the pace of other clubs.

Liverpool’s home form also suffered in front of an empty Anfield with the reds creating unwanted records.

However, Shaqiri believes that the return of the Reds faithful at Anfield will be a huge boost to their aspirations for the upcoming season.

Speaking with the club official website, Shaqiri stated that the team will a few players who were injured back in the squad and they will give the team an extra boost.

However, he noted that the fans are going to be back again and that also gives the team another boost to try to achieve their goals for the new season.

Shaqiri added that everyone know how Anfield is when Liverpool have a game and how fans push the team through the game and how many times they’ve won the games or we came back with the fans, it’s something special.

Liverpool will begin their Premier League campaign when they travel to Carrow Road to square off against newly promoted Norwich City on 14th August.
