Liverpool centre back and the Netherlands, international, Virgil Van Dijk has ruled out any injury after a scale during a game vs. Turkey ok Tuesday night.

The Liverpool defender who is on international duty for his home country completed the full 90 minutes of their 6-1 World Cup Qualifying victory but was seen clutching his ankle during the encounter.

His action raised alarm among the Reds fans who raised concerns especially on how it could affect Liverpool this season in the EPL.

Recall that Van Dijk has only just regained his rightful place in Liverpool’s defence after recovering from a devastating ACL rupture.

Well, the top centre-back in a recent statement has reassured fans that his latest issue is nothing serious.

Van Dijk in a statement with the press after the game said: “I’m fine, luckily. I’m already over it. Maybe because I am so big, they think I am acting, because when I go down, it goes in quite a slow way.”

He is expected to return to action this weekend when Liverpool take on Leeds United in the Premier League.
