Liverpool could replace Klopp with former captain
The days of Germany international, Jurgen Klopp at Anfield may be coming to an end soon.
Although Klopp led the Reds to win the EPL title last season and also won the Uefa Champions League in 2018/19 season, however, all has not been well for Liverpool tho season.
They have been struggling to perform in the EPL and have dropped out of the top four table as they are unable to repeat the same feat they had last season.
As it stands, there seems to be a growing pressure at Liverpool calling for the replacement of Klopp and he could be out of the club at the end of the season if things deteriorate further.
According to a report, the Reds have line up foemr captain and England former football star, Stephen Gerrard as the main choice to replace Klopp.
According to The Mirror, there is a growing feeling that Klopp will accept the opportunity to succeed Joachim Low as Germany manager either after the European Championships or the next World Cup.
The report further claimed that Gerrard’s work at Rangers, who are set to win this season’s Scottish Premiership, has impressed the club’s hierarchy and they are considering bringing him on board should Klopp leaves.
Gerrard during his football career made 710 appearances for the Reds between 1998 and 2015. He won two FA Cups, three League Cups, the UEFA Cup and the Champions League.
Liverpool could be going the way of the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd who once have their former player as coach.
