World Cup: Neymar names EPL star best midfielder in the world

Brazil forward and PSG star, Neymar Jr, has applauded his national teammate Casemiro for his effort for their home country in the ongoing world cup in Qatar.

Neymar, who seems highly impressed by Casemiro went on to name him as “the best midfielder in the world”.

This comes as Casemiro, who plays for  Man Utd scored a late winner to help his country beat Switzerland 1-0 on Monday, to qualify for the knockout stages of the 2022 World Cup.

Neymar was absent during the game after picking up an ankle injury in the 2-0 win over Serbia last week.

However, the PSG superstar followed the match and was full of praise for Casemiro, who scored a sublime half-volley to win it.

“Casemiro has been the best midfielder in the world for a long time,” Neymar tweeted.

Brazil will now face Cameroon in their last group fixture, another match Neymar is likely to miss as he recovers.
