Former Chelsea advises Amorim on Casemiro

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has continued to receives series of advice amid the club’s form.

Despite replacing manager Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils’ performance under Amorim has also been poor, with the Red Devils seating faraway from the top six on the league table.

Former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi in a recent statement reached out Amorim, who he advised to offload Casemiro.

Mikel whole speaking on his podcast, stated that the Brazilian midfielder is already past his prime.

Recall that Casemiro joined he Red Devils from Spanish side Real Madrid in 2022 in a deal worth €70.65 million.

Following his impressive form in his first season, which he scored seven goals and created six assists in 51 appearances, Casemiro has been unable to replicate the same form in following seasons.

Amorim has also preferred to play Manuel Ugarte ahead of the 32-year-old.

Mikel while speaking on his podcast described the Premier League as one of the most difficult tournaments for a player like Casemiro.

According to Mikel, if a player is not young enough, quick enough, and energetic enough to cope with the Premier League, he would be found out.

“I love the guy; he’s played for Real Madrid; he’s won everything in his career. But his legs are gone. Manchester United need to get another midfielder,” Mikel added.
