Former Chelsea star, Joe Cole has fingered England international, Mason Mount as one player that could turn out to be a captain at Stamford Bridge later in the future.

Cole in his statement stated that Mount has the ability in him and would soon get the opportunity to be a skipper in the team.

Mount has become one of the key players in the Thomas Tuchel’s led Chelsea side and he was instrumental in their game vs. Southampton last weekend which ended in a 1-1 draw. Hopefully, Tuchel feels the same way.

He’s a great player,” Cole said BT Sport.

Cole believes Mount is a leader in the dressing room and thinks he will go on to be a Chelsea captain.

“He has great feet and he drove Chelsea on and there is a reason Tuchel has taken to him straightaway and that is because of his personality and because of his quality,’ Cole added

The former Chelsea star stated that Mount has a massive future ahead of him before though he is doing his best presently.

Mount could return to action on Tuesday when Chelsea return to action in the Uefa Champions league when they play Spanish side, Atletico Madrid.
