Chelsea are among the top European clubs in the race to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the forthcoming summer transfer window.

The report revealed that Chelsea are willing to make the big money move providing that coach Thomas Tuchel is willing to guide the Blues into the Uefa Champions League next season by remaining in the top four this season.

However, reacting to Chelsea’s interest in Haaland, the Blues former star Frank Leboeuf has advised the club owner, Roman Abramovich against signing the Dortmund star.

Leboeuf noted that Haaland is a great player but he stressed that the Blues need to see beyond signing him for his performance and see what would happen to their dressing room if he is signed.

”Haaland is a beast,” the former centre-back told Sky Sports.

He stressed that it would be a plus for Chelsea to sign him but they have to think financially and economically, and also have to think and make sure the dressing room is going to be following the coach.

The former Chelsea star noted that if Haaland is signed, Chelsea will lose Olivier Giroud and might also lose younger players like Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech as they might not get enough playing chances like they use to.
