Update: Injury blow as Kante to be sidelined for another four months
Chelsea have suffered a major injury blow as their midfielder and France international N’Golo Kante, who recently rejoined the team, will now be sidelined for another four months.
This was made public via Chelsea’s website, where it was revealed that Kante has undergone an operation on his hamstring injury.
The report revealed the Frenchman visited a specialist with the club’s medical department to explore the options for his rehabilitation approach and it was mutually agreed for N’Golo to have surgery to repair the damage.
Following a successful operation, N’Golo is now expected to be sidelined for four months.
This means Kante will not be back in action until around February and will also be unavailable for his home country France as he would miss the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, scheduled to start in November.
Kante has been missing in action a number of times this season for the Blues, hopefully, he bounces back next year.
