Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Edinson Cavani will not be rushed back for Thursday’s Premier League clash with Sheffield United.

Edinson Cavani joined Manchester United from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window and have been putting in some impressive performance.

The Uruguayan striker have missed United last two games due to a muscle injury he suffered against West Ham on December 5 and have been tipped to return against Sheffield United who are still struggling to find their form.

Keeping in mind the hectic end-of-year schedule, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer noted that
Cavani has done well in rehab but the coaches still have to make the decision if he should be risked against Sheffield as it would be a risk if he plays.

Solskjaer who seems not ready to gamble with Cavani fitness added that he doubt the former Napoli forward will be available tomorrow as they have to be mindful of little strains and niggles.

Manchester United will be eager to bounce back from a disappointing week that saw them got eliminated from the Champions League into the Europa League.

As it stands, Ole will want to give in his best as it would be another blow if they lose to Sheffield.
