UCL Final: Why Chelsea stand a better chance vs. Man City
Chelsea will face Man City in the final of the UEFA champions league later this month in Istanbul Turkey.
Chelsea and Man City made it to the final after they defeated Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain PSG respectively in the semi-final.
While Chelsea defeated Man City in the FA Cup and also recently in the Premier League, former Arsenal player turn pundit, Ian Wright believes Man City have a better chance of winning the UCL.
According to him, this is the first time Man City will make it to the final and they would most likely put in a lot of effort to make it their first UCL trophy.
He however didn’t overlook the tremendous changes the Blues team have undergone under Thomas Tuchel who replaced Frank Lampard in January.
”I’m really confused simply because of the amount of players who were missing for Manchester City in the last game,” he told the Wrighty’s House podcast.
Wright revealed that he liked how ballsy Chelsea played, but he is not certain the Blues will be able to do the same with De Bruyne, Mahrez and Gundogan playing for Man City in the final.
”I just feel that this is it for Man City, they have to make it happen,” he added.
